Coolcut privacy policy
Last updated November 2, 2026
Coolcut collects no data. The app has no accounts, analytics, ads, tracking or network code. All editing and exporting happens on your iPhone, and your media leaves it only when you share or save it yourself.
What stays on your phone
- Clips, photos and music you import. Coolcut copies them into its own storage with your project so the edit keeps working. Deleting a project or the app removes them.
- Projects. Your edits are saved as files in Coolcut's storage on your device.
- Videos you export. These go to your Photos library, where you control them.
- Videos you share. The iOS share sheet sends them to the app or person you choose. Coolcut never sees where they go.
Permissions
| Permission | Why Coolcut asks |
|---|---|
| Photo library (read) | Opens the videos and photos you pick so you can edit them. |
| Photo library (add) | Saves your exported videos to Photos. |
You can turn either of these off in Settings → Coolcut. The rest of the app keeps working.
Children
Coolcut collects nothing from anyone, children included.
